Meal prep blues! This is the time of year when I lose inspiration for cooking. Root veggies are looking kind of blah and I have to really be intentional about meal planning to get into it. Maybe you are the same - so I thought I'd share my menu this week. It's not always so thought out - but I had the time this afternoon to think it through. These are all new recipes. Not sure if you'll be able to read them - hopefully (beats typing them all out). The soup is from "The Farmers Market Cookbook" by Julia Shanks and Brett Grohsgal, the the kale salad from "Six Seasons" by Joshua McFadden and then the Salmon loaf and Victory Casserole from "The big book of casseroles" by Maryanna Vollstedt. I'll try to remember to review them after this week too!

We love to be able to offer you eggs. We do have chickens and ducks but not enough to supply the neighbourhood. I get in eggs weekly from Emily at True North Heritage Breeders. She is a heritage chicken breeder and provides us with beautiful and tasty eggs. They are $6/dozen and during the pre-season 2 dozen for $10. They are available from our farm kiosk just inside our driveway.
