We have a 30 hr/week farm worker position available.  Applicant needs to be between 15-30 years of age as this job is partially funded through a Canada Summer Jobs Grant.

We are looking for someone who is hard working, able to work on tasks independently and has a positive attitude.  Applicant needs to be physically able to lift 40+ lbs, and do repetitive tasks such as kneeling, squatting and bending.  In other words, the applicant needs to be physically able to meet the demands of daily farmwork.

While the job will involve working in all aspects of our farm (weeding, harvesting, market days, etc) it will also include a lot of washing bins and behind the scenes cleaning (also farming).

Wage: $18/hr

We know that Tuesdays isn't a great day for everyone to make it to the farm and we may not be in your neighbourhood.  Did you know we deliver veggies every Friday June -October?  By purchasing your farmer's box now it's a great way to support us as farmers in this long season of planting and preparing for harvest.  

Pick up a farmer's choice box of Kingfisher Farm veggies every Friday beginning June 21.
We have a number of pick up locations:
Ocean Park, White Rock, Crescent Beach, Kingfisher Farm
In June you will receive a form allowing you to choose which 10 weeks during the season you would like to receive your box.  Each week there will be an array of the garden's abundance, and will vary depending on what is growing in the field.  Sample box: lettuce mix, bunch of radishes, green onions, bunch of carrots, bunch of kale, 3 field cukes, basil, head of garlic .
Each week you will also be able to add extra veggies or flowers to your delivery through a weekly google form if you choose.  Once you have purchased a Farmer's box you have the option of choosing the 10 weeks during the season that you receive a delivery.  This way you can work around holidays, etc.  Feel free to add a flower subscription and it will be delivered with your box on Fridays.
